Annemarie Reinhold is a maker and designer who creates work inspired by the natural world. Using traditional silversmithing techniques, Annemarie creates sculptural and wearable work, which captures the movement and beauty of the constant flux in nature.
Annemarie initially studied Art, Craft and Design at Grennan Mill Craft School in Co. Kilkenny. After completing her BDes (Hons) in Craft Design specialising in Metalwork & Jewellery at the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) in Dublin, Annemarie took part in a one-year residential course at Bishopsland Educational Trust in the UK to focus on furthering her skills and the professional aspect of setting up a creative business. In 2019 she finished the 2 year DCCI Jewellery Skill Course in Kilkenny.
In 2016 and 2019 Annemarie was a recipient of the Future Makers Awards & Supports programme. In 2017, she was honoured to be selected for an RDS Craft Award as an emerging maker in the silversmithing and metalwork category. In 2018, she was selected to exhibit in the international touring exhibition Monumentality / Fragility: European Prize for Applied Arts, produced by BeCraft Belgium. Annemarie was one of 24 makers featured in PORTFOLIO: Critical Selection 2019-2020, DCCoI’s flagship biennial publication showcasing Irish contemporary craft with makers selected for achieving excellence in design and craftsmanship by international standards.
Annemarie has exhibited her work in Ireland, the UK and Europe and will continue to further develop her career in jewellery and silversmithing as an independent designer-maker.
Currently based in Cork, she is working on a range of fruit and vegetable inspired pieces as well as developing a range of jewellery and objects from silver revisiting multiple leaf constructions. Having located herself in Cork, Annemarie is now working from Benchspace, a creative hub in Cork City.
